This policy explains what information rageonthelake.com and the CLE: Rage on the Lake mobile game (iPhone/iPad and Android) collect, why, and what we do with it. CLE: Rage on the Lake is made by Photonic Studio (Photonic LLC) in Northeast Ohio. We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to run the site and reply to you, and we never sell your information.
What we collect
Sponsorship applications. If you fill out the “Become a Legend” form on our Sponsor a Legend page, we receive the details you enter — your name, email, and optionally your business name, phone number, and your character or level idea. This arrives by email so we can follow up with you. We use it only to respond to your application and discuss sponsorship.
Community polls. When you vote in a poll, the poll tool records your vote along with your IP address and sets a cookie in your browser. This is only to prevent duplicate voting and keep results fair. Votes are shown as anonymous totals.
Standard server data. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Bluehost) automatically logs basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.
Site analytics. This website uses Google Analytics (set up through Google’s Site Kit plugin) to understand how visitors find and use the site — for example, which pages are visited, how long people stay, roughly where visitors are located (city or region), and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information, and Google processes it on our behalf under its own privacy policy. We use these reports only in aggregate to improve the site and promote the game; we do not use them to identify you. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. Google Analytics runs only on this website — it is not in the mobile game.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies needed for the site to work — for example, the poll cookie described above — plus Google Analytics cookies that measure site traffic (see “Site analytics” above). We do not use advertising cookies on this website.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. It is shared only with the service providers that run the site (such as our web host, email provider, and Google Analytics), or if required by law.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites, including Instagram, local businesses featured in the game, and Photonic Studio. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
CLE: Rage on the Lake – Mobile App (iOS & Android)
This section applies to the CLE: Rage on the Lake game on the Apple App Store and Google Play, made by Photonic Studio (Photonic LLC).
The game does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Specifically, the app:
- has no user accounts or sign-in
- has no ads, and no advertising or analytics tools
- does not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers
- does not send any gameplay data to us or anyone else
Your saved games and settings are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the game. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google Play; we never see your payment information.
The game is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.
If we ever add features that collect data (such as online sharing), we will update this policy and the app’s App Store and Google Play listings first.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete any information you have sent us. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
